The Bangalore Barn Owl Conservation Group is a group of like minded people, from Bangalore, India, who believe that Bangalore's Barn Owls should be protected, conserved, adored, respected and above all, admired. The group believes that this can be achieved by advocacy, providing nest boxes, continuous monitoring and by educating children.
The group was formed in March 2007, when we felt the need for the study and conservation of Barn Owls in Bangalore city, who seemed to be thriving in the city in recent times. From then on, the group has been actively building next boxes and installing in ideal locations, monitoring barn owl sightings and publicising the cause of the Barn Owl.
